Your wine tasting experience takes place at the 68, rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, in the first arrondissement. The cellar is just a short walk from the metro station "Louvre-Rivoli" on line 1 or Etienne Marcel on line 4.

Your tasting will take place in an absolutely beautiful 17th century Parisian building, which is a 5-minute walk from the Louvre. Your tasting room is atmospheric and beautifully decorated. The space also offers a wine bar for you to unwind, eat and relax before or after your tasting.

You can select from three wine tasting sessions:

Wine and cheese tasting lunch: Beginning with a flute of champagne, you will be expertly guided through a wonderful tasting experience by a French sommelier. Enjoy a ‘Tasting Lunch’ that will allow you to learn first hand about food and wine pairing as well as wine tasting techniques. At the end of the session, you’ll have a better understanding of France’s major wine regions and a greater appreciation for French wine, including its champagne.

A presentation by an English-speaking sommelier will be given to you. You will taste 5 (white and red) French wines including champagne and a selection of cheeses, cold meats and breads.

French Wine Introductory: An English-speaking wine sommelier will guide you through the tasting of three delicious French wines. Your wine expert will teach you the basics of French wine. Learn in detail about the art of tasting and appreciation, and France’s major wine regions. You will sample 3 (white and red) French wines.

Tour de France of Wine: A presentation by an English-speaking sommelier will teach you all the basics about French wine. You will taste a wonderful variety of French wines, from Alsace to Bordeaux, Burgundy to the Rhone Valley. This includes sampling 6 (white and red) French wines, including one Champagne and a selection of breads. With a unique and refreshing approach, the French sommelier will teach you how to read a French label and how to navigate a wine list.

You will also learn about the art of wine appreciation and strategies for pairing food and wine. Learn more about the major French wine regions and the interesting details that make French wines unique.

Your tour ends at the wine cellar.

Please note that before or after your tasting, you can decide to hang out at the adjacent wine bar which offers everyday a selection of 40 wines by the glass, great food, friendly staff, beautiful decor and a fun atmosphere - the best wine bar in Paris really.

We found it very interesting as we did not know very much about wine and we were able to go away with a vast amount of knowledge Brillant.

I travelled with my sister and son who is 13. we opted for the cheese and wine tasting experience. we all had a great time. the venue is fabulous along with the cheese and wine. eventhough my son was not the recommended age they made him feel welcome and involved. the wine guide was young, relaxed and very informative. the wines were available to buy afterwards for a reasonable 20-30 euros. the whole experience was fab! would definitey recommend you go if you want a little knowledge of wines.

We used O Chateau for 2 events - Champagne Cruise & Cheese and Wine tasting. Both were excellent - interesting, engaged sommeliers who understood that we were all there to enjoy the tasting as much as learning about viniculture. It was great fun, good wines and a lovely way to travel down the Seine. The O Chateau wine bar was a great setting for the cheese and wine tasting too. On Sunday afternoon as we emerged into the sunlight on the Paris street after 2 hours of tasting we were pleased that we'd opted for food as well as drink!!! I would definitely recommend it.

We both found the experience fun and informative. Very nice wines with lots of information on how to enjoy French wine. Plentyful supply of bread, meats and fantastic cheeses in a lovely setting.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left this experience was one of a lifetime. We enjoyed learning about all the regions and the wines from those regions. We were also blown away by the champagne making process. Along with that the cheeses were exceptional. I would recommend this to anyone with an open mind and an open palette.
