Whether you are a wine novice or a connoisseur, Ô Chateau has offers tasting sessions for all French wine enthusiasts. Unlock the secrets of French wine with the three specially designed wine tasting sessions conducted by an English-speaking sommelier. The sessions take place in a 17th century cellar, located right by the Louvre, which was actually the former cellar of the Sommelier of the King.
Choose from 3 different wine tasting sessions; an introductory session in which you will sample several types of wine with breads (French Wine Introductory). A wine and cheese tasting lunch, or a session sampling wines from across France (Tour de France of Wine).

Your wine tasting experience takes place at the 68, rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, in the first arrondissement. The cellar is just a short walk from the metro station "Louvre-Rivoli" on line 1 or Etienne Marcel on line 4.
Your tasting will take place in an absolutely beautiful 17th century Parisian building, which is a 5-minute walk from the Louvre. Your tasting room is atmospheric and beautifully decorated. The space also offers a wine bar for you to unwind, eat and relax before or after your tasting.
You can select from three wine tasting sessions:
Wine and cheese tasting lunch: Beginning with a flute of champagne, you will be expertly guided through a wonderful tasting experience by a French sommelier. Enjoy a ‘Tasting Lunch’ that will allow you to learn first hand about food and wine pairing as well as wine tasting techniques. At the end of the session, you’ll have a better understanding of France’s major wine regions and a greater appreciation for French wine, including its champagne.
A presentation by an English-speaking sommelier will be given to you. You will taste 5 (white and red) French wines including champagne and a selection of cheeses, cold meats and breads.
French Wine Introductory: An English-speaking wine sommelier will guide you through the tasting of three delicious French wines. Your wine expert will teach you the basics of French wine. Learn in detail about the art of tasting and appreciation, and France’s major wine regions. You will sample 3 (white and red) French wines.
Tour de France of Wine: A presentation by an English-speaking sommelier will teach you all the basics about French wine. You will taste a wonderful variety of French wines, from Alsace to Bordeaux, Burgundy to the Rhone Valley. This includes sampling 6 (white and red) French wines, including one Champagne and a selection of breads. With a unique and refreshing approach, the French sommelier will teach you how to read a French label and how to navigate a wine list.
You will also learn about the art of wine appreciation and strategies for pairing food and wine. Learn more about the major French wine regions and the interesting details that make French wines unique.
Your tour ends at the wine cellar.
